This shirt is made out of black velvet with lots of stretch. The front is blank and the back has 'post it' notes. This piece is a bit fragile. It is wearable more of a display/collectors item.
This piece is a combination of two different concepts. If I were to create this collection again (with more time) they would become two separate pieces.
First the shirt. Created to look like post-it notes had been stuck to the back. A subversion on the old troupe of bullies sticking insults onto the backs of classmates. Each note carries a letter a trans man submitted to his younger self. An affirmation for the future.

This shirt walked at NYFW, NHFW and at the largest halloween ball in Maine! They have also spent the last month at the public art installation at the Equality Community Center.
